Float Therapy
Sensory Deprivation Tank / R.E.S.T / Isolation Tank
You may have heard these terms, SENSORY DEPRIVATION OR FLOAT TANK, used before to describe a wellness practice that is becoming popular known simply as — floating.
The practice of floating was developed by a neuroscientist in the 50’s but is being widely used by professional athletes, celebrities, top entrepreneurs, and individuals seeking to optimize their health by reducing stress, enhancing muscle recovery, and increasing mental performance.
We have floatation tanks that are filled with around 1000 lbs of pharmaceutical-grade Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) and filled with 94-95F water, approximately 10 inches deep. Floating is close to a 90% reduction of stimuli to the nervous system, giving it the “ultimate” form of rest—free from light, sound, touch, and gravity.
